As I had never tried CBT before, I was apprehensive about opening up to someone that I had never met before. I have tried a number of different approaches in the past to deal with my anxiety, all of which have been helpful, but my discovery of ACT under the expert guidance of Suzy has felt like coming home. She has offered me compassion, and helped me to develop self-compassion, and the ability to observe and let go of difficult feelings or thoughts, rather than getting hooked into them and allowing them to amplify. She has also helped me to get some respite from the things which were dragging me down, by giving some time to the things which I value and enjoy.
